Fawcett's first squarebound comic is an anthology of its greatest superheroes, including Bulletman, Spy Smasher, and of course the original Captain Marvel (Shazam). Captain Marvel travels to the West Coast to find the mysterious Ghost of the Deep, who is sinking Allied ships with a strange power. Bulletman and Bulletgirl track a mysterious, invisible killer whose victims vanish without a trace. Minute Man faces the horrifying Mr. Skeleton, who is trying to coerce US military leaders to turn against America. Plus a vintage ad for a contest for Marvel Comics - the OTHER Marvel Comics, the ones featuring Human Torch and Sub-Mariner - that would later co-opt the name "Marvel." This issue's cover is the first time that Fawcett's super-heroes appeared together on a cover.
